300 hard working students in Hanau’s Otto Hahn Schule gave inspired performances in Sing Out! Workshops in December 2016.
Janice and I love all the students, and above all we have a soft spot for the newcomers to singing and moving. Most students don’t know original blues, folk and gospel music, but by the end of the workshops, they’re on it, over the shyness, and vying for solo singing spots in the closing program: "I want to sing a solo!"
The Sing Out! Workshops culminated in a sold-out charity fund raising concert featuring the 300 workshop participants. It was a challenge to get everyone on stage but we did it in 2 rounds of 150 students, finishing with a full stage of 300 students for the final song!
A special thank you for asking us back again and again to super strategists and planners Claudia Montgomery, Sarina Marquardt, Stephan Knaf, and school director Stephan Rollmann.
